Aviation Nation is not possible
without the support of volunteers from our local
community who wish to support our men and women
in uniform at Nellis Air Force Base. If you would
like to volunteer at this year’s air show or
if your group or organization wishes to
volunteer, we welcome you as a valuable member of
our Volunteer Forces team!
Groups, companies
and organizations receive special recognition at Aviation
Nation.

a special thanks, all volunteers will receive a
Volunteer Forces T-shirt, breakfast and lunch at
the Volunteer Forces Chalet, and the personal
thanks of the men and women serving at Nellis Air
Force Base.
AVIATION
NATION NEEDS VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST
IN THESE IMPORTANT AREAS:
Chalet
Customer Service
In addition to
working behind the scenes at a world-class event,
the customer service team provides assistance and
greetings to all of our VIP guests. Duties
include customer service at our VIP Hospitality
Chalet entry desks, credentials checking and
chalet entry control.
Hospitality
Chalet Support
Our large VIP
hospitality chalet serves our sponsor and
military VIP’s and their guests. Volunteers
will assist in daily chalet operations including;
morning and evening setup, serve drinks/food,
maintaining supplies and ensuring a neat and
clean chalet environment for our guests. Some
cooking may also be needed so
"Foodsafe" certification and
restaurant/hospitality experience are a plus.
This area is also ideal for young cadets, boy
scouts and other youth groups.
Transportation
Coordinators
Volunteers will
assist in the dispatch and monitoring of golf
carts and other show vehicles as well as
transporting VIPs and staff along the air base
flight line, to the airport or other locations
near the air show. This activity requires a clean
driving record and will require minor on-site
training to operate on the flight line.
Supply
Logistics
The supply team
assists with the distribution and re-stocking of
food, beverages and other supply items at the VIP
Chalet, Volunteer Center, Info./Magazine booths,
etc. Some lifting may be required.
Special
Forces
On Thursday (Nov.
8) prior to the air show, volunteers will assist
in hanging sponsor and informational banners and
signs and will assist with supply and equipment
pre-positioning and set-up. Volunteers will also
perform miscellaneous duties throughout the air
show weekend as needed.
Air Show
Ambassadors
This team will be
responsible for providing information to the
public at information kiosks located at the air
show. Volunteers will hand out brochures and maps
and answer questions and provided assistance to
the public.
Registration
and Ticket Services
Volunteers will
assemble sponsor ticket and credentials packages
and will assist in our on-site
registration/Welcome Center, greeting our VIP
guests and providing them with their
ticket/credentials packages, etc.
